So I watch Top Gear and I want to make that table they have, you know the one that is made out of a engine block with the tempered glass on it. Well I have been thinking that I could go to the junk yard, pull a engine block, get it cleaned and strip all the parts I do not need and toss them to the recycling plant. Now some will say that if you are poor trash you will have a engine block out in front yard as lawn ornament but if you have a little money you will have the block in your man cave as coffee table. I priced it out and I think I can make one like this for about $200 USD. I talked to my neighbor who is a car mechanic and he has a bunch of engine blocks in his garage. I found a few examples that I put below. Does anyone have any feed back? Have you built your own engine block coffee table?
