Dennis sent this bobber motorcycle to me to review. This is a Yamaha 2006 V Star Silverado Classic he calls “Fat Bastard”. He siad the first thing he did was to put it on a diet. He swapped out the front fender for the sweet new bobber fenders. As you can see he added drag bars and changed out the stock front trie for a white wall front tire. He went with a bigger rear tire and moved it from a 170 to a 180. He moved the license plate to the left side and mounted it vertically. He replaced the standard rear brake light for a 1934 Ford taillight.
The paint which is really sweet is the same paint as a 1955 Chevy paint chart. He added a little bit of pin-striping but from the photos he sent it does not look over powering. As you can aslo see there is a solo springer seat. He was able to get most of these parts at Blue Collar Bobber, they are down the road from where I live. I wish I could get them to let me test ride some of their bobbers.
So when I look at a motorcycle, no matter if it is a bobber, sport bike, cruiser, sport touring or whatever I look for safety. This bobber has it all for me, It has the front fender which in some states you have to have, nice black pipes, a solid paint job and what looks to be a comfortable solo seat. I would give this bobber motorcycle a perfect 5 out of 5. Maybe we can get Dennis to send us a video of how it sounds?
